Feb. 24, 2009 — The City of Castle Pines North will be conducting a comprehensive street-sweeping program, starting today.
For about the next seven business days, Douglas County street sweepers will be running through all city roadways to remove sand, paper and other debris, helping prevent blockages in city stormwater systems and keeping streets clean and neat.
The sweepers will begin with main roadways such as Monarch Boulevard and Castle Pines Parkway, then move onto residential streets, starting at the city's south end and moving northward until the work is completed.
Please watch out for the street-sweeping equipment and keep a safe distance. If you see street sweepers in your neighborhood, children should be supervised and cars should be parked in garages or driveways if possible.
Another road reminder: Starting Feb. 23, the west ends of Buffalo Trail Road and Castle Pines Parkway have been closed to build a new roundabout intersection.
Read the full alert and see the detour map on the city's Web site.
