To all Castle Pines North citizens:
Mayor Maureen Shul, Councilperson Jennifer Havercroft and Councilperson Kim Hoffman, in conjunction with the Colorado Division of Wildlife, hosted a public forum Tuesday at the Castle Pines North Community Center to discuss wildlife issues within the city.
CDOW representatives explained to citizens how to co-exist with coyotes and how to protect family pets from wildlife attacks. After the presentation, citizens, city officials and CDOW representatives participated in an open discussion – which resulted in helpful information that will be considered while drafting the coyote management plan.
City staff is currently in the process of developing the plan. Once the draft plan is complete, it will be made available for public review and comments prior to City Council adopting the final version.
