To all Castle Pines North citizens:
During the March 23rd City Council meeting, Council began initial discussions regarding the possible creation of an Urban Renewal Authority (URA) within the City of Castle Pines North. Council members directed staff to identify study area boundaries for the possible designation of an urban renewal area in conjunction with formation of a URA.
As part of the public process and in anticipation of property owner questions, the City is holding an informational meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, April 14, 6:00 pm, at the CPN Community Center, 7404 Yorkshire Drive.
The city’s consultant, Anne Ricker, of Leland Consulting Group, will discuss several topics including:
- Who manages an urban renewal area?
- Why do cities establish urban renewal areas?
- What is the process for establishing an urban renewal area?
- How does a URA benefit property owners?
