Since the formation of the URA, it has been the intention of the City Council to make this transition in an effort to encourage broad citizen participation in Castle Pines North.
Appointments will be made by the Mayor, subject to approval by resolution of the City Council, for initial terms of one year.
Residents, business owners and property owners are encouraged to apply on-line at or pick up an application at the City Offices at 7501 Village Square Drive, Suite 100.
City Council Appoints Resident Volunteers to Committees
At the October 12 City Council Meeting, the City Council unanimously voted to appoint the five residents who have applied to volunteer for the Council Advisory Committees.
Anna Mallinson, Corey Hutson and Jim Zappavigna were appointed to the Public Works, Utilities and Parks Committee, where Susan Sievert and Heena Sutaria were appointed to the Budget, Finance, and Professional Services Committee. The volunteers were appointed to two year terms.
Councilperson Doug Gilbert said “the formation of citizen advisory committees by the City is an important step in providing opportunity for citizen input in local government. The committees also offer a training opportunity for those wishing to run for a city elected office. City Council welcomes applicants to the Committees and looks forward to broad input on how to enhance the quality of life in Castle Pines North.”
