New Crosswalk at Shoreham and Monarch

Starting Monday, Sept. 29, a new crosswalk will be at the intersection directly across from Buffalo Ridge at Shoreham and Monarch. This will replace the crosswalks at Oxford and Monarch, and at Shoreham and Monarch, south of the school. These crosswalks will be removed on Saturday, Sept. 27.

Starting Monday, Sept. 29, please use the new crosswalk as follows:

All walkers coming from Kings Crossing (Oxford and Monarch) need to head south on Monarch up the new sidewalk to the new crosswalk. Please cross at this intersection and continue on the Shoreham sidewalk to school. After school, please cross at the new crosswalk and continue north on Monarch to Oxford. Please do not use the corner of Oxford and Monarch to get to and from Buffalo Ridge.

All walkers coming from Noble Ridge (Shoreham and Monarch) need to walk on the new sidewalk on the south side of Monarch and cross at the new crosswalk directly across from school. After school, please use this new crosswalk to cross Monarch and head south on the new sidewalk.

The next step will be to rezone the area around Buffalo Ridge and relocate the lights. Please make sure you keep your driving speed down and stop for the children in the crosswalks. Also, please talk with your children about the new crosswalk.
