CASTLE PINES NORTH, Colo., March 17, 2010 — City Council officially proclaimed March 15 through March 21 Fix a Leak Week in Castle Pines North.

Fix a Leak Week is sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s WaterSense® program and is designed to encourage families to check for their household fixtures and irrigation systems for leaks.

According to the U.S. EPA, more than 1 trillion gallons of water per year leak from U.S. homes, which is equivalent to the annual water use of Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami combined.
